Fremantle boosts exec

Paul O'Hanlon named managing director, Asia

FremantleMedia has upped Paul O’Hanlon to managing director, Asia, based in Singapore.

He starts in October, reporting to Ian Hogg, FremantleMedia’s Asia Pacific CEO.

O’Hanlon has worked as a TV exec in several territories including Hong Kong, Indonesia, China, India, Afghanistan and Taiwan.

He served as international adviser and program director with Taiwan’s Next TV, and helped create content for two of Afghanistan’s TV networks in 2009.

O’Hanlon was senior VP of prduction for News Corp.’s Star TV in Hong Kong, and ran his own independent production company from 2000-04.

Most recently, he was exec producer in production and development with FremantleMedia Australia.
