‘Excused’ readies for fall launch

CBS Television Distribution syndie sold in 50% of country

CBS Television Distribution strip “Excused” has been sold to stations covering 50% of U.S. TV households.

Readying for a fall rollout, half-hour dating show centers on a group of men competing for the affection of two women, or vice versa. Once the two women have eliminated the men down to one, the final man standing will have the opportunity to select the woman he wants to date.

Show is hosted by Iliza Shlesinger and produced by Renegade 83 Entertainment. David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe are exec producers.

“Excused” is set to air on Fox’s WWOR-TV New York CBS’ KCAL-TV Los Angeles and Weigel Broadcasting’s WCIU-TV Chicago.

Sold for cash plus barter, show will air in the late fringe and access time periods.
