Epix has tapped Douglas Lee as exec veep of programming acquisitions, strategy and enterprises.
Lee will be based in New York, where he will report to Epix topper Mark Greenberg.
“Doug has great instincts and is exactly the kind of strategic forward thinking professional that is essential in this important role,” said Greenberg.
Epix, a feevee joint venture between MGM, Lionsgate and Viacom, launched in 2009.
Lee’s previous posts have included a stint as exec veepee of worldwide digital media at MGM, where he oversaw the studio’s digital strategy and negotiated deals with Apple and Netflix, among others. Lee has also worked at HBO, 20th Century Fox, and Universal Television.
