Disney XD renews ‘Kickin’ It’

Second season to bow in 2012

Disney XD has renewed “Kickin’ It” for a second season, with production resuming in December for air in 2012.

“Kickin’ It” premiered in June and has accounted for the channel’s three highest-rated live-action programs in the 6-11, 6-14 and 9-14 demos. The July 25 episode was Disney HD’s highest-rated live-action episode ever in boys demos.

To date, the skein is averaging 1.02 million viewers, cementing it as Disney XD’s top-performing original series ever.

Jim O’Doherty (“Grounded for Life”) exec produces the series, which features Jason Earles, Leo Howard, Mateo Arias, Dylan Riley Snyder, Olivia Holt and Alex Christian Jones, for It’s a Laugh Prods.
