Disney Channel buys pitch, renews ‘Vampire’

Tisdale to exec produce original film 'Adventure Quest'

Disney Channel has bought a pitch from a graduate of the Disney/ABC writing fellowship program to develop into an original movie with Ashley Tisdale and Jessica Rhoades exec producing.

Matt Horwitz of Artist International packaged the deal.

“My Babysitter’s a Vampire,” which premiered in June, has averaged 3.7 million viewers and was the No. 1 cable show among kids 2-11 in its time period.

FremantleMedia Enterprises handles global distribution (exclusive of country-of-origin Canada) for the series, which is exec produced by Tom McGillis, Brian Irving, George Elliott, Sander Schwartz, Bob Higgins and Jennifer Pertsch for Fresh TV.
