Choreographer lines up show at E!

Laurieann Gibson to star in 'Dance Scene'

Laurieann Gibson is ready to bust a move on E!

Longtime choreographer will have her daily life chronicled on series “The Dance Scene,” set to debut April 10. Show will be produced by Ryan Seacrest Prods., which already has E! hit “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” in its stable.

Cabler has ordered eight half-hour episodes. Gibson has worked on all the musicvideos for Lady Gaga and has collaborated with Diddy and Alicia Keys on various projects.

Series is just the latest to tap into the world of dance. Paula Abdul launched her CBS skein “Live to Dance” Tuesday while “Dancing With the Stars” has been a longtime hit for ABC. “So You Think You Can Dance” has aired for seven seasons on Fox.

Said E! exec VP of programming Lisa Berger: “The competitive world of the professional dancer is grueling creative work. Watching Laurieann mentor these young artists, who will do anything to make it in the business, gives us a glimpse into a world where the pursuit of success and excellence outweighs all else.”

Seacrest and Amber Mazzola are exec producers.

Next up for E! is the debut of the third Kardashian skein, “Kourtney and Kim Take New York,” which premieres Jan. 23.
