Chloe Sevigny to topline ‘Hit and Miss’

Thesp to play transsexual contract killer

Chloe Sevigny is set to topline “Hit and Miss,” the first original U.K. drama commissioned by BSkyB’s upstart channel Sky Atlantic.

In the six-part skein, created by Paul Abbott (“Shameless”), Sevigny plays Mia, a contract killer with a secret: She’s a pre-op transsexual.

“Hit and Miss” embraces such themes as family, sexual identity and murder.

Project is scripted by short-film writer and director Sean Conway, and is his TV debut.

Abbott, who will executive produce, said, “Chloe is bringing her unique, smart toolbox with her and, together, we will make a great show better.”

“Hit and Miss” is the latest program to arise from the development deal between FremantleMedia Enterprises, the commercial arm of FremantleMedia, and Abbott’s AbbottVision.

The series will bow to the international market at this fall’s Mipcom TV mart in Cannes as part of FME’s drama slate.

Sevigny’s credits include “Boys Don’t Cry” and HBO’s “Big Love.”
