CBS is looking for a dose of Farrelly humor on its sked next season.

In one of the Eye’s biggest comedy pacts of the development season, Peter Farrelly is set to write and direct a comedy pilot for the network and CBS TV Studios revolving around a group of six parents and step-parents who are tasked with raising two kids.

Farrelly is set to pen the script with Kevin Barnett and Pete Jones, who worked with Farrelly and his brother, Bobby Farrelly, on the 2011 feature “Hall Pass.” Peter Farrelly, Barnett and Jones will exec produce, and Farrelly will also direct should the project get picked up to pilot. CBS execs are known to be high on the project and the prospect of tapping into the Farrelly comedy factory.

Peter Farrelly has rarely ventured into TV. The Farrelly brothers and Barnett helped shepherd the short-lived 2008 Fox laffer “Unhitched,” toplined by Rashida Jones and Craig Bierko.

The Farrelly brothers’ next bigscreen outing is “The Three Stooges,” set to bow in April.

Peter Farrelly, Barnett and Jones are repped by CAA.
