Bravo renews ‘Top Chef Just Desserts’

'Intent,' 'Sight' to preem May 1 on USA

Bravo is keeping its plate of “Top Chef” series full, renewing spinoff “Top Chef Just Desserts” for a second season.

In other cable series news, USA announced that “Law and Order: Criminal Intent” and “In Plain Sight” would have their season premieres May 1.

Dan Cutforth and Jane Lipsitz of Magical Elves produce “Just Desserts,” which averaged 1.8 million viewers (1.2 million among adults 18-49) in a 10-episode run last fall.

Bravo is holding open casting calls for “Desserts” and the ninth season of “Top Chef,” beginning at the end of this month.

For “LOCI,” original stars Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are in place for its eight-episode final season. The series is moving to Sundays after averaging 3.6 million viewers for USA on Tuesdays in 2010.

In Plain Sight,” preparing for its fourth season, also moves to Sundays after drawing the highest ratings for a cable drama on Wednesdays in 2010.
