Bravo lines up Kathy Griffin specials

Network orders four standup specials for 2011

Bravo can’t get enough of Kathy Griffin.

The comedian has signed with the cabler to star in four hourlong standup specials to air quarterly this year.

Griffin has been a staple at Bravo since 2005, appearing in eight comedy specials as well as her series “My Life on the D-List.”

“Kathy’s quick-fire humor and ability to tap into pop culture make for must-watch television,” said Andy Cohen, exec VP of original programming and development for Bravo.

Added Griffin: “I went to Bravo and told them I thought I was being a little too nice in my standup specials. They agreed and gave me four more. Let the fur fly.”

Cohen was promoted in December after being a driving force on the net’s top series, including “Top Chef,” “The Millionaire Matchmaker” and the “Real Housewives” franchise.
