Alloy taps Michael Ross as COO

CW alum joins growing production shingle

Alloy Entertainment has recruited network vet Michael Ross as chief operating officer to help manage its growing stable of primetime skeins.

Ross will oversee all business affairs, financing and digital distribution issues for Alloy’s production arm. The shingle has five series in production, including CW’s ”Gossip Girl” and “Vampire Diaries” and ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars.” It’s also developing films and Web series and other material tied to Alloy’s successful young adult book properties.

Ross will divide his time between Alloy’s offices in Gotham and Los Angeles. He reports to Alloy Entertainment topper Leslie Morgenstein.

Ross previously spearheaded biz affairs for the CW and WB Network. He was most recently exec veep at BBC Worldwide America.
