ABC Family topper Michael Riley just renewed “Pretty Little Liars” for a second season — no surprise there; the show is currently being showcased during the channel’s portion of ABC’s TV Critics Assn. press tour day.
Also back, this time for a fourth season: “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.”
“The Secret Life of the American Teenager” rates as ABC Family’s No. 1 seires of all time and served as the No. 1 scripted cable series with women 18-34 in 2010. “Pretty Little Liars,” meanwhile, just returned for the second half of its freshman year with series highs, including 4.2 million viewers.
“Supported by incredibly talented casts and crews, ‘The Secret Life of the American Teenager’s’ Brenda Hampton has an unparalleled voice in speaking to today’s millennials, and our partnership with Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon continues to deliver an engaging and heart-stopping show keeping ‘Pretty Little Liars’ audiences on the edge of their seats,” Reilly said.
