Women in television rule Crystal + Lucy Awards

Women in television — specifically CBS — ruled the Women in Film 2011 Crystal + Lucy Awards on Thursday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Starting with host Melissa McCarthy, whose “Mike and Molly” sitcom resides on the net, the assembled power females were singing the praises of the Eye all night.

“How I Met Your Mother” exec and director Pamela Fryman accepted her Dorothy Arzner Award from her CBS show star Neil Patrick Harris, who called her “the most amazing person ever.”

Later, Geena Davis one-upped Harris, saying, “I see your Fryman and I raise you a Nina Tassler, she’s even more amazing,” as she presented the CBS Entertainment prexy with the 2011 Lucy Award.
