Simmons also ribbed the thesps of “Mad Men.”

“Today it is my privilege to introduce them, the men and women who are the spectacular cast of — it says here — ‘the best drama series on television.’ We’ll call it a tie,” said “The Closer” thesp.

At the end of the event, John Slattery announced the cast would take pictures with anyone who wanted.
