Matthew McConaughey and Hilary Swank are set to topline “The Dallas Buyer’s Club,” helmed by Jean-Marc Vallee (“The Young Victoria”).
Pic, which Content Film is shopping to buyers in Cannes, is based on the true story of a man’s fight for justice against the U.S. government’s Food and Drug Administration.
Story is penned by Craig Borten and Melissa Wallack (“The Brothers Grimm: Snow White”) and is produced by Robbie Brenner, Rachel Rothman-Winter and Nathan Ross.
Content Film is handling international rights on the pic while CAA is repping North American rights.
Content’s slate this year also includes Chloe Moretz and Blake Lively starrer “Hick,” SXSW winner “96 Minutes” and Sundance preems “The Greatest Movie Ever Sold” and “Knuckle.”
