Nomination reaction: Kenneth Branagh, actor, ‘My Week With Marilyn’

“I have been a part of so many indie films that haven’t broken through, it is nice to see this one break though. On playing Sir Laurence (Olivier), there was pressure because he is such an inspiration. Even though this film would show him so many lights and there was a real responsibility to deliver that role so that gave me pause for thought, but it was an opportunity to show that passion and industry of the man and remind people of how industrious he was. Now people can go back and be reminded of how great of an entertainer he was for those of us that may of forgotten about him.”
