Netherlands-based Imagem Music Group has acquired production library music company 5 Alarm Music, adding to its roster of companies that already includes the Rodgers & Hammerstein Organization and Boosey and Hawkes.

5 Alarm reps more than 40 libraries and also owns the catalogues of Rescue Records, IVU and Cinema Sounds, all of which are part of the acquisition. Meanwhile, Imagem-owned production music service Cavendish will now be repped by 5 Alarm.

Cassie Lord, who has been head of Pasadena-based 5 Alarm since it launched in 2001, will continue to oversee the company as part of her duties in a new gig as Imagem’s VP-general manager for library and production music business in the U.S.

TV and film productions working with 5 Alarm include movies “Easy A” and “The Beaver” and TV skeins “Brothers and Sisters,” “Saturday Night Live” and “Desperate Housewives.”

Acquisition of 5 Alarm is the latest step in Imagem’s continued expansion of its library music business. Imagem bought Rodgers & Hammerstein, which controls rights to a slew of iconic musical-theater properties, in 2009.
