Andy Donald, associate a.d. of Off Broadway troupe Naked Angels, will step into the artistic director post in July, replacing Geoffrey Nauffts.

Donald, who has been with the company since April 2009, takes the reins as Naked Angels expands its production activities in the wake of the profile-raising Broadway transfer of “Next Fall,” the play by Nauffts that was originally produced by Naked Angels.

Coming year marks the first time the company will produce a full season of three shows, along with a 25th-anniversary gala set for Feb. 14. Company will also for the first time offer a season membership ticket package, a staple at most Gotham nonprofits.

Nauffts, whose credits as a writer include the ABC skein “Brothers and Sisters,” intends to remain attached to Naked Angels as a writer and director, and also as a member of the company’s board. Nauffts has been a.d. of the troupe since fall 2007.

Upcoming season for the company includes a topical-issue anthology of short works, “Naked Footprints: An Issues Project,” plus plays “A Long and Happy Life” by Beckah Brunstetter and “Outside People” by Zayd Dohrin.
