The Lark Play Development Center’s BareBones Program, which has in recent years showcased Broadway fodder “Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo” and “The Mountaintop,” has tapped Adriana Sevahn Nichols’ play “Night Over Erzinga” for its next edition.

Daniella Topol directs the show, an inter-generational memory play about an Armenian and Latin American family.

BareBones is the only Lark initiative that presents new work in staged performances, as opposed to the readings more often produced by the org. The program’s most recent alum, Katori Hall’s “The Mountaintop,” is due on Broadway this fall in a production starring Samuel L. Jackson.

Lark workshop is part of Middle East America: A National New Plays Initiative, which teams Lark with San Francisco’s Golden Thread Prods. and Chicago’s Silk Road Theater Project. Golden Thread will produce “Night Over Erzinga” later this year, with a Silk Road staging skedded for 2012.

“Erzinga” runs June 7-12 at the Lark’s new midtown space.
