“Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson” and “The Elaborate Entrance of Chad Deity” scored the top musical and play prizes, respectively, at the 2011 Lucille Lortel Awards.

Rock tuner comedy “Bloody Bloody,” eligible for the Off Broadway-centric Lortels from its Public Theater run last spring, also is eligible for Tony noms this year thanks to the show’s Broadway transfer in the fall.

“Chad Deity” and “Bloody Bloody” scored two awards apiece, with the Second Stage Theater production of TV-wrestler comedy “Chad Deity” drawing the sound design nod for Mikhail Fiksel and “Bloody Bloody” snagging a set design laurel for Donyale Werle.

Top Off Broadway revival went to the Signature Theater’s staging of Tony Kushner’s epic two-parter “Angels in America.”

Lead thesping trophies went to Laurie Metcalf for her perf in MCC Theater’s “The Other Place” and to Christian Borle for “Peter and the Starcatcher,” a New York Theater Workshop staging that also picked up the choreography kudo for Steven Hoggett. Featured acting laurels went to Kristen Schaal (“The Coward”) and Thomas Sadoski (“Other Desert Cities”).

Another Public Theater presentation, Gatsby marathon “Gatz,” scored the trophy for helming (John Collins), while the solo show prize went to Mike Birbiglia’s “My Girlfriend’s Boyfriend.”

Previously announced kudos went to Manhattan Theater Club a.d. Lynne Meadow, drawing a lifetime achievement nod, and to attorney Gary Glaser, who received a contribution to Off Broadway plaudit.

Held at NYU’s Skirball Center and co-hosted by Zach Braff and Samantha Bee, ceremony was presented by the Lucille Lortel Foundation and the Theater Development Fund.
