Whoopi Goldberg, Liza Minnelli and Susan Stroman are set to receive special recognition kudos at the 2011 Drama League Awards ceremony in May.
Goldberg, whose legit producing resume this season includes “Sister Act” and Chicago musical “White Noise,” will take home the award for unique contribution to theater.
Minnelli, who’s won four Tonys, receives the kudo for distinguished achievement in musical theater. She was last on the Main Stem in 2008 outing “Liza’s at the Palace.”
Director-choreographer Stroman (“The Producers”) scores the Julia Hansen Award for directing. Her most recent Rialto gig was “The Scottsboro Boys,” which hit Broadway earlier this season after a popular Off Broadway run.
The 77th annual Drama League awards also will include five competitive kudos, including new play, new tuner, play revival and musical revival, plus a single award for thesping. Noms for those trophies will be announced April 25.
