Keith Nobbs, Kellie Overbey and Kevin Kilner have booked lead roles in Keen Company’s upcoming Off Broadway revival of Lanford Wilson’s “Lemon Sky.”
Little-seen Wilson play tells an autobiographical story about a 17-year-old moving to California to live with his estranged father’s new family.
Nobbs was last on Broadway in “Lombardi,” while Overbey has appeared in “The Coast of Utopia” and “QED,” among others. Kilner recently starred in the Mint’s Off Broadway staging of “Is Life Worth Living.”
Jonathan Silverstein (“The Temperamentals”) directs “Lemon Sky,” which begins previews Sept. 13 ahead of a Sept. 27 opening at the Clurman Theater at Theater Row.
Show is the first of two productions this season from Keen, with a revival of “Painting Churches” to follow in the spring.
