Woody Allen inks cast for next pic

Jesse Eisenberg, Penelope Cruz, Ellen Page and Alec Baldwin set

Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Page, Penelope Cruz and Alec Baldwin are set to star in the untitled Woody Allen pic that will shoot in Rome this summer.

Allen is directing from his own original screenplay; plot details remain under wraps.

Allen’s longtime producers, Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum are producing along with Helen Robin.

Eisenberg is coming off his first Oscar nomination for his portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg in “The Social Network.” He has also committed to join Melissa Leo and Tracy Morgan in the indie “Predisposed.”

Page recently starred in Christopher Nolan’s “Inception” and can currently be seen in James Gunn’s “Super.”

Baldwin is currently filming the indie “Hick” with Blake Lively, and he’s set to join Tom Cruise in New Line’s “Rock of Ages.” Thesp previously starred in Allen’s 1990 comedy “Alice.”

Cruz has also worked with Allen, having won an Oscar for her turn in 2008’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” She next stars opposite Johnny Depp in Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” which will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival before opening wide on May 20.

Page is repped by WME, while ICM reps Eisenberg and Allen. CAA reps Baldwin and Cruz, who is also repped by Untitled.
