Wild Bunch has picked up international rights to ”Violet and Daisy,” Geoffrey Fletcher’s directorial debut.
The company made the announcement Wednesday at the opening of the American Film Market, where it plans to sell foreign rights.
The film screened as a work-in-progress at the Toronto Intl. Film Festival in September. CAA is the domestic sales agent on the project.
Saoirse Ronan and Alexis Bledel star as two young assassins facing a series of opponents, including a mysterious man played by James Gandolfini. Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Danny Trejo also star.
Fletcher wrote the screenplay and produced along with Bonnie Timmermann. ”Violet and Daisy” is a production from The Magic Violet and GreeneStreet Films, exec produced by John Penotti and James Skotchdople and co-produced by Steve Kempf.
Deal was negotiated by Alain De La Mata and Agnes Mentre for Wild Bunch with CAA on behalf of the filmmakers.
