No ticket in town seemed hotter than the Monday preem of Marvel Studios and Paramount’s “Thor” at El Capitan.
Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Kat Dennings came to support the pic, but no star attracted more attention than the God of Thunder himself, Chris Hemsworth, who was never spotted without a swarm of people around him.
Preem was so packed that “Fright Night” co-stars Colin Farrell and Anton Yelchin — the two took time to chat before the movie started — were put in balcony seats.
Pic’s director Kenneth Branagh introduced the film and showed real relief in finishing his first tentpole feature.
“They say it takes a village to raise a son. Well, I’m pretty sure it takes a handful of small European countries to help create a summer tentpole like this,” said Branagh.
