Manager-producer Renee Tab is launching Sentient Entertainment to develop and produce film and TV properties alongside its clients.

Sentient’s clients include David Cronenberg (“Eastern Promises”), Pierre Morel (“Taken”), Wayne Kramer (“The Cooler”) and Ben Hibon (toon segment of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1”).

Tab partnered with Barbara Mandel at Artist Talent Management in January 2008 after a 10-year stint at ICM specializing in representing writers and directors.

She worked with Terrence Howard on finding the screenplay for “Hustle and Flow” and worked with Cronenberg to package “A History of Violence” and “Eastern Promises.”

Tab’s recent projects includesetting up Fox’s “The Fly” remake for Cronenberg to write and produce and Tab to exec produce; Warner Bros.’ “E.D.F.” for Morel, which Sam Raimi and Bill Block are producing; Kramer’s screenplay “Ecstasia,” which Tab and Kramer will produce for Richard Branson’s Virgin Produced; and Hibon’s fantasy “Pan,” which she’ll exec produce.

On the TV front, Tab and Morel will exec produce “William the Conqueror” for Electus and Starz, as well as “Alpha Dog” for MRC. She also recently helped Kramer sign his deal on NBC’s “The Fixer.”

Other Sentient clients include Charles Shyer (“Alfie”), Elliott Lester (“Blitz”), Yann Samuel (“Love Me If You Dare”), Amy Redford (“The Guitar”), Shirin Neshat and Shoja Azari (“Women Without Men”), Daniel Sackheim (“The Glass House”), Larry Fessenden (“The Last Winter”), Gary Young (“Harry Brown”) and writing duo Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam (“Wife vs. Ninja”).
