Summit Entertainment has promoted Meredith Milton to senior VP of production and Karen Barna to senior VP of business affairs.
Summit announced the promotions Tuesday. Milton will continue to report to president of production and acquisitions Erik Feig while Barna continues to report to Andrew Matosich, exec VP of business affairs.
Milton joined Summit in 2002. She was involved with “Letters to Juliet,” “Remember Me” and all three movies in the “Step Up” franchise and is overseeing “Step Up 4,” “The Wee McGinty” and “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.”
Milton began her career at Double Negative and worked at William Morris.
Barna, who joined Summit in 2002, brokered all cast deals for the first “Twilight” as well as all supporting cast deals for next two “Twilight” films along with supporting cast deals for “Knowing” and “Man on a Ledge.” She is also credited with overseeing the underlying rights and development deals of Summit’s “Red,” “Man on a Ledge,” “Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus” and “Warm Bodies.
Prior to joining Summit, Barna worked at The Shooting Gallery and Sloss Law Office.
