Freddie Stroma has joined the cast of the Universal and Gold Circle’s co-production “Pitch Perfect.”
He joins an ensemble that already includes Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebell Wilson and Adam Devine.
Pic will be helmed by Jason Moore and set in the world of collegiate a cappella competitions.
Story follows an all-girl college a cappella group who, recovering from years of embarrassing failure in the national finals, regroup with a shaky newbie in the lead to face the all-guys winners in a finals competition.
Paul Brooks will produce for Gold Circle Films alongside Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman for their Brownstone Productions shingle. Scribe Kay Cannon adapted from Mickey Rapkin’s nonfiction tome.
Stroma just wrapped lensing on the indie “The Philosphers” and was last seen in the ABC Family pic “A Cinderella Story.”
He is repped by WME, Affirmative Entertainment, and Waring and McKenna in the U.K.
