Sony is getting friendly again with author Ben Mezrich, having nabbed rights to his proposed book “Sex on the Moon: The Amazing Story Behind the Most Audacious Heist in History.”

Mezrich’s “The Accidental Billionaires” served as the source material for “The Social Network,” whose producers Scott Rudin, Michael DeLuca and Dana Brunetti will return to produce “Moon.”

Kevin Spacey will exec produce, a credit he also held on “Social Network.”

“Moon” explores similar real-life territory as “Social Network,” about a young aspiring scientist (Thad Roberts) who thumbed his nose at authority by planning to steal moon rocks from his NASA employer — all for the affection of his girlfriend. “Moon” tome is set to hit bookshelves on July 12.

“Social Network,” with more than $200 million in worldwide B.O. receipts, continued its awards streak on Sunday, nabbing four Golden Globes for picture, director, screenplay and score.
