Roth signs on to ‘Arbitrage’ cast

Thesp joins Gere, Sarandon in indie pic

Lie to Me” star Tim Roth has joined the ensemble cast of Nicholas Jarecki’s indie drama “Arbitrage.”

Richard Gere, Susan Sarandon and Eva Green star alongside up-and-comers Brit Marling and Aubrey Graham, better known as rapper Drake.

Story, penned by Jarecki, concerns a troubled hedge fund magnate who is forced to turn to an unlikely ally when he makes an error.

Roth will play Michael Gower, a detective who’s investigating a murder.

Laura Bickford (“Traffic”) is producing with Kevin Turen, Bob Salerno and Justin Nappi, while Mohammed Al Turki and Brian Young exec produce. Pic is scheduled to start production this month in New York City.

Roth recently starred opposite Edward Norton in “The Incredible Hulk,” and Fox is expected to make a decision next month on whether “Lie to Me” will return for a fourth season.

Roth is repped by CAA and attorney Geoff Oblath of Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.
