Richard Ayoade joins ‘Watch’

Thesp joins cast including Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn

British thesp Richard Ayoade has landed the role of Jamarcus in the Akiva Schaffer-helmed Fox comedy “Neighborhood Watch.”

Thesp, who recently wrote and helmed the Weinstein Company comedy “Submarine,” joins stars Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Rosemarie Dewitt.

Shawn Levy will produce “Watch” from a script by Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg.

Pic centers around a group of concerned neighbors who form a neighborhood watch group to stop crime — only to uncover a bigger conspiracy.

Ayoade, best known for his role as a frizzy-haired computer geek on British sitcom “The IT Crowd,” landed a coveted role in “Watch” after filmmakers were also eyeing Chris Tucker for the part.

PBJ Management and WME rep the multi-hyphenate.
