Newcomer gets ‘Neighborhood Watch’ shift

Erin Moriarty goes from soaps to Fox pic

Newcomer Erin Moriarty, whose career is just getting off the ground with TV soap opera appearances and a small part in the upcoming “The Philosophers,” has found herself at the next level with a turn as Vince Vaughn’s daughter in “Neighborhood Watch.”

Ben Stiller, Jonah Hill, Rosemarie DeWitt and Nicholas Braun also star in the 20th Century fox pic that Akiva Schaffer will direct and Shawn Levy is producing.

Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg penned the script about a group of concerned neighbors who form a neighborhood watch group to stop crime, only to uncover a bigger conspiracy.

Moriarty, who appeared in six episodes of “One Life to Live” last year and an episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” recently wrapped the indie “The Philosphers.”

She is repped by ICM, 3 Arts Entertainment and Jordan, Gill & Dornbaum Talent Agency.
