Lane, Emms join Relativity’s Snow White

Lily Collins, Julia Roberts star in adaptation

Nathan Lane and “War Horse” thesp Robert Emms are the latest to join the cast of Relativity Media’s untitled Snow White pic from director Tarsem Singh.

Lily Collins is set to play the exiled princess who battles Julia Roberts’ evil queen for control of their kingdom.

Armie Hammer co-stars as Prince Alcott, and Emms will play his valet, Renbock. As for Lane, he’ll be playing Brighton, the Queen’s loyal servant.

Melissa Wallack and Jason Keller adapted the classic fairy tale, which Singh is planning to turn into an adventure comedy, meaning it will be lighter in tone than Universal’s rival project, “Snow White and the Huntsman.”

Relativity CEO Ryan Kavanaugh is producing with Bernie Goldmann and Brett Ratner. Studio will start production on Snow White next month, with the film set for release on June 29, 2012.

Lane can currently be seen in a recurring role on ABC’s “Modern Family,” while Emms will soon be seen in Roland Emmerich’s “Anonymous,” which is slated to hit theaters Sept. 30.

ICM reps Lane and Emms along with Anonymous Content and Wishlab, respectively.
