Kat Coiro will write and direct and Kate Bosworth will star in an untitled Italy project following their collaboration on “Life Happens.”

Lauren Bratman, Bosworth and Coiro are producing, with 1821 Pictures financing. Set to shoot in Ischia and Naples, it’s the story of a married woman who embarks on an affair with a 19-year-old.

Paris Kasidokostas Latsis and Terry Dougas exec produce.

Coiro directed the Funny or Die short film “Idiots.” Her newest film, “Life Happens,” premiered this weekend at the Los Angeles Film Fest and centers on three women living in L.A. Bosworth, Krysten Ritter, Rachel Bilson and Jason Biggs star. WME handles domestic rights to “Life Happens,” while Lionsgate has international.

Bosworth is repped by WME and One Talent Management, Coiro by WME and Zero Gravity Management and Goldberg by the Collective.
