Jackson joins ‘Lay the Favorite’ cast

'Fringe' thesp joins gambling film with Willis, Hall

Exclusive: Joshua Jackson is in talks to star with Rebecca Hall and Bruce Willis in “Lay the Favorite.”

Stephen Frears is on to direct with D.V. DeVincentis penning the script.

Pic is based off the life of Beth Raymer, a professional gambler who started off as a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas but soon rose to become one of the world’s best gamblers. After falling in love, Raymer soon begins to re-evaluate her life and the profession she has chosen.

Randall Emmett will produce through his Emmett/Furla Films shingle along with Anthony Bregman, DeVincentis and Paul Trijbits. Peter Gethers will exec produce.

Jackson can still be seen on the Fox skein “Fringe” which was recently renewed for its fourth season.

He is repped by CAA, manager Abi Harris and Hansen Jacobson Teller Hoberman Newman Warren & Richman.
