D.J. Gugenheim has joined Inferno Entertainment as a VP of production.
Gugenheim previously worked as a director of development at Captivate Entertainment, where he helped oversee such projects as “The Bourne Legacy” and “The Sigma Protocol.”
Prior to Captivate, Gugenheim served as a coordinator and assistant to Matt Brodlie at Paramount Vantage, as well as an assistant to CAA’s Rick Kurtzman and director Joel Zwick (“My Big Fat Greek Wedding”).
Inferno is currently prepping the feature adaptation of “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer’s novel “The Host,” to which Saoirse Ronan is attached to star. Company is currently in post-production on Andrew Dominik’s crime caper “Cogan’s Trade,” which stars Brad Pitt, as well as Joe Carnahan’s “The Grey,” which stars Liam Neeson. “The Grey” was recently acquired by Open Road Films, which plans to release the survival drama this winter.
