Filmmaker Ira Sachs has set thesp Zachary Booth to join Thure Lindhardt in “Keep the Lights On,” an indie drama that began production last week in Gotham.

Booth (“Damages”) and Lindhardt (“Angels and Demons”) play a gay couple over the course of 10 years as they grapple with their relationship and their individual issues. Cast also includes Julianne Nicholson (“Law and Order: Criminal Intent”), Justin Reinsilber, Souleymane Sy Savane and Paprika Steen.

Helmer Sachs (“Forty Shades of Blue,” “Married Life”) penned the script with Mauricio Zacharias. He also produces with Lucas Joaquin and Marie Therese Guirgis, with Ali Betil, Jawal Nga, and Parts and Labor’s Jan Van Hoy and Lars Knudsen on board as exec producers.

“Keep the Lights On” aims to bow at a film festival in 2012.
