Indian fest to honor trio

Kaplan, Singh, Bijli saluted for work in sub-continent

The ninth Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles will honor Andy Kaplan, president or Sony Pictures Television Networks; Man Jit Singh, CEO of Multi Screen Media; and Ajay Bijli, managing director of PVR Cinemas; at an gala awards luncheon April 14 at the House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard.

The ceremony honors those who have had a profound effect on the expansion of Indian content on a global level. Sony Pictures Television has five successful channels in India: SET, MAX, AXN, SAB and PIX. Singh oversees Sony Pictures Television’s networks business in India and Bijli’s PVR is a multiplex pioneer in the country.

The fest runs April 12-17 at the Arclight.
