IM Global has come on board to co-finance dramatic thriller “Blood” with BBC Films, starring Paul Bettany, Brian Cox and Stephen Graham.

The film will be produced by Neal Street Prods., the banner headed by Sam Mendes and Pippa Harris, and Nicola Shindler’s Red Prods.

Nick Murphy (“The Awakening”) will direct from a script by Bill Gallagher, based on his TV series “Conviction.”

Story centers on a father and his two sons who are all by-the-book cops. After a young girl is brutally murdered and the main suspect is released due to lack of evidence, brothers played by Bettany and Graham take matters into their own hands in an attempt to coerce a confession. Cox will play their father, the former chief of police who’s a quiet spectator to the fatal tragedy that begins to tear his sons apart.

“The combination of Neal Street’s producing caliber, a highly talented young director and this cast made this an irresistible package for us to jump onboard,” said IM Global topper Stuart Ford.

IM Global has recently announced its backing of “Dead Man Down,” starring Colin Farrell. On Wednesday, it came on board Jason Statham actioner “Hummingbird.”
