Hemingway rises to ‘Silent Thief’

'Black Swan' thesp set to star in the indie drama/thriller

“Black Swan” thesp Toby Hemingway is set to star in the indie pic “The Silent Thief” alongside Scout Taylor Compton and Cody Longo.

Josh Pence, who’s currently filming “The Dark Knight Rises,” is also in negotiations for one of the lead roles, while “Modern Family” star Reid Ewing is set to cameo.

Hemingway stars as a drifter who descends upon a family in crisis and suggests an odd solution: he’ll take their biological son’s place in the family unit. The situation unravels as his ingratiation tactics become pernicious.

Jennifer Clary is directing from a script she co-wrote with Kevin Haberer and Chris Sapp. Haberer is producing though his and Clary’s Jenkev Prods. banner.

Longo will play a closeted athlete, while Pence is in talks to play his best friend and secret boyfriend.

“The Silent Thief” is slated to start production at the end of July in Los Angeles.

Hemingway has been making a name for himself of late, having recently wrapped Andrew Niccol’s New Regency thriller “In Time,” which stars Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. Thesp will soon be seen in the indie “The Ganzfeld Experiment.”

Hemingway is repped by CAA, 3 Arts Entertainment and attorney David Matlof of Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof & Fishman.
