‘First Time’ for Victoria Justice

Actress to star in Jon Kasdan's teen romance pic

Victoria Justice is going back to high school, as the Nickelodeon star has been cast in Jon Kasdan’s teen romancer “The First Time.”

“Animal Kingdom” thesp James Frecheville and “Submarine” star Craig Roberts have also been added to the ensemble, which now includes “West Wing” alum Joshua Malina, Halston Sage, Maggie Jones and Adam Sevani (“LOL”).

Britt Robertson and Dylan O’Brien are set to star in the indie pic, which Kasdan is directing from his original screenplay.

Story follows two students over the first weekend of a blossoming relationship. Justice will play the girl of the protag’s dreams, though she considers him strictly a friend.

Castle Rock’s Liz Glotzer and Martin Shafer are producing, while Liah Kim is exec producing. Production is slated to begin this month.

Justice stars on Nickelodeon’s “Victorious.” She was recently cast as the lead in Paramount’s “Fun Size,” which marks the feature directorial debut of “Gossip Girl” creator Josh Schwartz.

Justice is repped by UTA.

Shanghai Film Review: 'Shyrakshy: Guardian of the Light'

The bombastic English title might sound like it describes some comic book sci-fi epic, but in “Shyrakshy: Guardian of the Light” our hero does not wear a cape but a weathered cap, and the light he guards is not an interstellar death ray but the flickering beam of a battered old movie projector. Prominent Kazakh [...]
