EOne, Image ink distrib’n pact

Titles include 'Burning Palms,' 'Breathless,' 'Brazil'

TORONTO — Entertainment One will continue to distribute Image Ent. titles in Canada through 2015, Image chairman and CEO Ted Green and eOne Films Canada co-prexy David Reckziegel announced Wednesday.

The extension of the companies’ existing exclusive pact covers Image’s library of theatrical, home entertainment (including the Criterion Collection), TV, digital and music properties and all new acquisitions, and brings Image/Madacy Home Ent. titles into the mix.

Recent Image acquisition to be released in Canada include the theatrical release “Burning Palms,” Criterion’s upcoming releases of Jean-Luc Godard’s “Breathless,” and Terry Gilliam’s “Brazil” and “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas,” and NBC’s 1960s suspense anthology TV series “Thriller,” which was hosted by Boris Karloff.
