Diablo Cody to make directorial debut

'Lamb of God' follows young woman who loses, then regains, her religious faith

Diablo Cody is getting behind the camera for the first time, helming “Lamb of God” for Mandate from a script she wrote.

Mason Novick will produce, with Nathan Kahane and Cody exec producing.

Laffer will follow the story of a young religious woman who loses her faith after a plane crash and decides to go to Las Vegas to live the life of a sinner but finds her way back to her faith.

The project is Cody’s third collaboration with Mandate; the other pics were “Juno,” for which Cody took home the Oscar for original screenplay, and “Young Adult,” which Paramount will distribute.

Cody is currently developing several pics including “Sweet Valley High” for Universal and an untitled project that Steven Spielberg is producing.

She also stepped into the TV realm as exec producer of Showtime series “The United States of Tara.”

Cody is repped by WME.
