‘Chicago Code’ star joins ‘Gatsby’

Jason Clarke rounds out the cast of Warner Bros. adaptation

Jason Clarke is rounding out the cast of Warner Bros./Village Roadshow’s “The Great Gatsby” as the George B. Wilson character.

Baz Luhrmann will direct with Leonard DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Isla Fisher, Joel Edgerton and Elizabeth Debicki also starring.

Based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic, Wilson’s a mechanic and the owner of a garage. His wife Myrtle, portrayed by Fisher, is having an affair.

Production is set to get underway at the end of July in Australia.

Clarke recently wrapped “The Wettest County in the World” and indie “Yelling to the Sky.” He’ll also be seen in Ami Mann’s “The Texas Kiling Fields.” Credits include “The Chicago Code,” “Brotherhood” and “Public Enemies.”
