Channing Tatum eyes ‘Blood Brothers’

Chernin Entertainment buys pitch with Tatum attached to star, produce

EXCLUSIVE: Eric Nazarian and Sergei Bodrov have sold a pitch to Chernin Entertainment titled “Blood Brothers,” with Channing Tatum attached to star, sources tell Variety.

Trio and Reid Carolin will produce with Tatum and Carolin’s Iron Horse Shingle.

Bodrov and Nazarian will write with Bodrov set to direct.

While no logline was immediately available, pitch was based on an original idea by Bodrov and Nazarian. Story is a suspenseful thriller set in Russia.

Tatum is currently shooting “21 Jump Street” in New Orleans alongside Jonah Hill.

Bodrov’s credits include 2007’s war film “Mongol” and the 1996 drama “Prisoner of the Mountains.” Nazarian’s credits include “The Blue Hour” and spec “Giants,” which made the black list in 2008.

Tatum is repped by UTA and Management 360. Bodrov is repped by The Arlook Group and UTA. Nazarian is repped by CAA and Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown.
