CAS to honor vet helmer

Rob Marshall to receive filmmaker award

The Cinema Audio Society is honoring director Rob Marshall with its filmmaker award at the CAS Awards on Feb. 18 at the Millennium-Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

Marshall’s work spans Broadway, TV and feature films, including Oscar best-pic winner “Chicago” and, most recently, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.”

Marshall is also an Academy Award, Tony and Golden Globe nominee, and an Emmy winner for TV movie “Annie” and special “Tony Bennett: An American Classic.”

Re-recording mixer Scott Millan, Marshall’s “Nine” colleague, will receive the CAS career achievement honor.
