Bromance at ‘Brother’ preem

Rudd shares his love on the red carpet

Our Idiot Brother” could be renamed “Our Idiot Bromance,” based on Paul Rudd and Harvey Weinstein’s blooming brotherhood, as evidenced at the Weinstein Co. pic’s Aug. 16 preem at the ArcLight.

Talking about the duo’s Funny or Die vid, Weinstein said, “Paul threw my ‘King’s Speech’ Oscar in the trash. He’s ruthless.”

Rudd yelled from the audience, “I love you, Harvey!” The star admitted later, at the Mondrian afterparty, that filming the video was “a little scary, even as nice as Harvey’s been to me.”

Rudd’s fave moment was doing a scene with a naked Steve Coogan: “It’s not often that you get to see your heroes completely naked. He was making me laugh so hard — him just bending down.”

Co-star Kathryn Hahn said there was a reason for all the good feeling on the set: “Nobody had a trailer. No one could go off to their corner between takes, and I think that helped with the family aspect.”
