LONDON — Bavaria Film Intl. is handling international sales on Barnaby Southcombe’s debut feature “I, Anna,” which it will be shopping at the EFM in Berlin.
Pic, which toplines Charlotte Rampling and Gabriel Byrne, is a noir thriller told from the point of view of a femme fatale who falls for the detective in charge of a murder case.
Supporting cast includes Eddie Marsan (“Sherlock Holmes”), Bill Milner (“X-Men: First Class”) and Honor Blackman (“Bridget Jones’ Diary”).
Script, penned by Southcombe, is based on the novel of the same name by Elsa Lewin.
Pic is produced by Felix Vossen and Christopher Simon (“The Proposition”), Michael Eckelt (“Eyes Wide Open”) and Ilann Girard (“Lebanon”). Jo Burn (“Green Zone”) is co-producing the pic, which began lensing in London on Tuesday.
Artificial Eye will release the pic in Blighty, NFP/Warner Bros. will release in Germany and ABC/Cinemien will distribute pic in Benelux.
