Arquette, Sarandon go for ‘Drive’

Thesps, Adam Brody to star in Rosanna Arquette's directorial debut

Exclusive: Susan Sarandon and “Scream 4” stars David Arquette and Adam Brody are in negotiations to star in Rosanna Arquette’s feature directorial debut “Hemlock Drive.”

Jennifer Carta and Mandy Steckelberg wrote the script, which concerns a dying mother who enlists her three grown children to throw her a living funeral in a desperate attempt to unite her family.

Jace Hall’s shingle HDFilms is teaming on the project with UK-based Lex Filmed Entertainment. Kristin Holt is producing, while Tracey Adam, Sascha Hecks and Hall will exec produce.

Production is scheduled to start this Sept. in Louisiana.

Rosanna Arquette previously directed the docus “Searching for Debra Winger” and “All We Are Saying.”

Sarandon is currently filming “Arbitrage” with Richard Gere.

David Arquette is preparing to direct the 3D psychological thriller “Glutton” this summer.

Brody recently wrapped Whit Stillman’s “Damsels in Distress” and Julian Farino’s indie dramedy “The Oranges.”

UTA reps Brody and David Arquette, who is also repped by Management 360.

Sarandon is repped by ICM, while Lovett Management reps Rosanna Arquette.
