Airplane-repo comedy taxis at Summit

Cook, Weisberg pitch lands with Di Bonaventura, Spink

The writing team of Douglas Cook and David Weisberg has sold an untitled comedy-action pitch about the world of repossessing airplanes to Summit, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian and JC Spink producing.

Logline’s being kept under wraps. Story will track a pair of repo men.

It’s the second pitch sale to Summit for Cook and Weisberg following their July deal for a female ensemble actioner with Di Bonaventura and Vahradian producing. Chris Bender, Jake Weiner and are exec producing that project via Benderspink.

Cook and Weisberg have set up “Blank Slate” at Bold Entertainment, “Nick Ratchett” with Stan Lee at Disney and are writing what’s aimed to be a tentpole heist movie. Their credits include “The Rock” and “Double Jeopardy.”

Summit’s Erik Feig and Geoff Shaevitz are overseeing the repo project.

Di Bonaventura’s partnered with Summit on “Red” and the upcoming “Man on a Ledge.” Benderspink is currently packaging “Y the Last Man” at New Line and “Undying Love” at Warners and has “Burt Wonderstone” at New Line.

Cook and Weisberg are repped by CAA.
